Neurosurgery deals with the management and the surgical, nonsurgical and stereotactic of patients with certain diseases of the central nervous system, peripheral and vegetative structures including the vascular ones; the evaluation and treatment of pathological processes which modify function or activity of the nervous system, including the pituitary and surgical treatment of pain.
It considers thus the brain and other structures such as the meninges, skull base and blood vessels, lesions of the pituitary gland, among others.
