Some of the fat collected in the belly is removed in the abdominoplasty. The surgeon makes a cut in the fold under the belly (the” bikini line”). Skin is also cut around the belly button so a large area of fat and skin are pulled away from the muscle. The abdominal muscles are tightened in the belly and the extra skin and fat are trimmed away.|
